Climate Justice
Mary Robinson
This book is an introduction to the complexities of climate change as the biggest moral challenge of humanity. In this purpose-driven book, Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, argues that an irrepressible driving force in the battle for climate justice could be found at the grassroots level, mainly among women, many of them mothers and grandmothers like herself.
“As advocate for the forgotten and the ignored, Mary Robinson has not only shone a light on human suffering, but illuminated a better future for our world.” - Barack Obama
Hurricane Lizards and Plastic Squid
Thor Hanson
In Hurricane Lizards and Plastic Squid , biologist Thor Hanson tells the remarkable story of how plants and animals are responding to climate adjusting, evolving, and sometimes dying out. It is a story of hope, resilience, risk and unpredictability.

A World to Shape
Ton van Zantvoort
This documentary beautifully shows how big individual impact can be. Young designers Dave Hakkens and Nienke Hoogvliet are 'designers for the world of tomorrow' and highly value sustainability. Where Dave aims to find new, sustainable technology and living posibilities, Nienke focuses on eye-catching design in sustainable materials such as fish-leather. Their process and thinking is absolutely inspiring.

Come to the Just Peace Movie Night on April 25! The featured film of this edition is Blue Carbon. This film highlights how the Blue Carbon Ecosystem remains "a hidden hero in the global discourse on climate solutions". Nonetheless, with the interest in and number of Blue Carbon offsetting schemes increasing, we wish to explore the possible climate (in)justices through our discussion. Namely, the ethics behind blue carbon credits and the possible exploitation/empowerment of frontline communities.
After the screening, there will be a speaker discussion and drinks to discuss the topic even more.
