Facing Blackness' exhibition

On Monday, March 18, the Municipality of The Hague will bring the exhibition 'Zwartheid Onder Ogen Komen' ('Facing Blackness') to The Hague. An impressive exhibition about the history of racism, stereotyping and the resistance against it. You are cordially invited to attend the opening of the exhibition 'Zwartheid Onder Ogen Komen' ('Facing Blackness').

Starting at 6:00 pm, everyone is welcome to view the exhibition on the second floor.

The exhibition will be officially opened at 7:15 p.m. by Councilwoman Mariëlle Vavier in Podium B, on the fifth floor.During the evening there will be a lecture by The Black Archives. Afterwards there will be a panel discussion with, among others, Mitchell Esajas (TBA), Glenn Helberg (Psychiatrist, known from the TV program 'The Therapist', among others) and other inspiring guests. Of course, there will also be room for the audience to ask questions.

If you have signed up for this, you can enjoy a delicious Surinamese meal between 18:30 and 19:15. We will end the evening musically with drinks!

The exhibition is open to everyone from March 18 to April 15, 2024 at the Central Library, on the second floor. Click here for more information about the exhibition Facing Blackness.
