Just Peace Movie Night: Climate Justice at the Peace Palace

Saturday 21 September 2024
Filmhuis x Just Peace: The Mind Game

Just Peace Movie Night is a program that aims to engage the broader public in important conversations around justice and peace through film and storytelling.

The power of film and storytelling is used to humanise and illustrate complex issues. In the past year, we have already organised 8 Just Peace Movie Nights. With these recurring film screenings, we create space for dialogue on topics that are relevant to The Hague peace and justice community.

What subjects did previous films discuss?
The topics the films discuss range from LGBTI+ rights, climate issues, impact of war on education, genocide, economic desperation and more. Previously we have shown War on Education, Behind the Numbers, Aurora's Sunshine, Blue Carbon, A Small Act, On the Fringe, Mother of All Lies and The Elephant Whisperers.

Organisations such as Hivos, Human Rights in the Picture, Stichting Queer Mind, Eurojust, Euroclio and Resilient Foundation have organised a movie night with Just Peace.

Are you a filmmaker, an organisation and/or a cinema and are you interested in organising a Just Peace Movie Night? Get in touch with us via justpeace@humanityhub.net!

The film screening is always followed by a panel discussion, in which filmmakers, experts and the audience enter into a conversation.
