When you think of The Hague, you think of peace and justice.
Our city is home to the International Court of Justice and the Peace Palace, and is therefore world famous. With Just Peace, we bring peace and justice to life for everyone in the city. Through stories, events, and much more, we hope to inspire you. Discover what there is to do here.
The Just Peace program is a collaboration between the municipality of The Hague and The Hague Humanity Hub and is created in collaboration with numerous contributing organizations that work in The Hague towards a more peaceful and just world. In recent years, Humanity Hub, in collaboration with the Municipality of The Hague, has organized Just Peace Month (see video above), during which various public activities and events are organized around the themes of peace and justice for a month.
In 2023, Just Peace has been expanded to an annual programme in which we will demonstrate throughout the year how The Hague is working on peace and justice at national and international level. We do this using themes, responding to important days throughout the year.
We organize Just Peace Movie Nights and the yearly Just Peace Open Day.
This online platform is the place where residents of The Hague can be part of - and stay involved in - the ecosystem of peace and justice all year round.
