Celebrating women all around the world!
Women are disadvantaged in many areas. For example, women experience sexual violence or abuse more often than men and are disadvantaged in the labor market in many countries. This is a form of discrimination and a human rights violation.
One day in the year when we remind ourselves of the ongoing struggle for gender equality, and all the activists who have helped get women's rights where they are today is March 8, or International Women's Day. To celebrate this day, Just Peace focuses its attention on partner events honoring women, we share inspiring read, listen, and watch tips, and write stories from local fighters for gender equality.
