In conversation with leading Ukrainian Humanitarian Organisation Vostok SOS

  • Date: 22 May 13:30 - 15:30
  • Location: Het Nutshuis

We are thrilled to announce that on Monday 22 May, from 13:30 to 15:30, the Netherlands Helsinki Committee will be hosting a special event at the Nutshuis in The Hague (Riviervismarkt 5, meeting room Telkamer).

Vostok SOS has been a leading human rights organisation and provider of humanitarian relief in Luhansk and Donetsk since 2014. They currently also play an important role in providing aid to the most affected communities since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Join the event for an insightful and inspiring interview with their director Yulia Krasilnykova, humanitarian program manager Oksana Kuiantseva, and emergency hotline coordinator Evheniia Tkachuk.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about the incredible work that this organization is doing to support vulnerable communities in Ukraine. From providing emergency relief to those affected by conflict to advocating for the rights of women and children, their work is truly making a difference. The event will include a Q&A session where you will have the chance to ask questions and learn more about the organization and their mission. It is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the humanitarian and human rights situation in Ukraine, especially in the recently de-occupied areas, and learn more about the challenges and opportunities in organizing humanitarian help, evacuations, and support for displaced people in a time of war.
