Against the background of Poland's transformation from communism to capitalism, Woman Of... covers 45 years from the life of Aniela Wesoly. Aniela has lived more than half of her adult life as a man in a Polish provincial town. The journey to personal freedom as a trans woman reveals difficulties in marriage and parenthood, strained family relationships and complicated attitudes in her environment that constantly place her in impossible situations. What choices will Aniela have to make? Will she be willing to sacrifice everything to become who she really is?
