HagueTalks

  • Date: 18 October 16:30 - 18:00
  • Location: Leiden Universiteit

Climate change is one of the most significant issues of our time and many feel compelled to stand up and act in response to the increasing climate crisis. This HagueTalks is about tapping into people’s strengths and ability to act in the face of increasing climate insecurities. How can we unlock the potential of community engagement as a catalyst for action towards climate resilience?

Three climate action talks will provide distinct approaches to local action: from a young female lawyer in Hargeisa, Somaliland; a multimedia climate artivist from Australia, and a young peacebuilder based in the Netherlands. Their Talks will focus on concrete action, what they have learned what works. Silver linings throughout these talks will be the importance of experiencing a sense of belonging to the community and recognizing the dynamics that support change.
