Film Screening: War and Justice

The THIMUN Foundation will house the screening of War and Justice. The documentary follows Luis Moreno Ocampo, first chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court from 2003 to 2012. Film director Marcus Vetter and former prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo will be present. After the screening, the audience would be able to ask any questions to both speakers.

Short synopsis: The documentary War and Justice tells the 25-year history of the International Criminal Court [ICC] in its mission to end the most serious crimes against humanity. It follows the first ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo in his battle against wars in the Congo, Libya, Palestine and Ukraine.

Once war is launched, can the ensuing crimes be prevented at all? Or is former Nuremberg prosecutor Ben Ferencz right when he says that the greatest war crime of all is war itself?

This event is organised as part of the 56th Annual Session of The Hague International Model United Nations. At THIMUn 2024 approximately 3000 International Students from 157 schools from all over the world will be welcomed.
