COC's nationwide Speak-In
- Date: 28 November
- label.tijd 18:30 - 21:00
- Location: Social Hub
In a visibly hardening society, it is more important than ever for the LGBT+ community to stay connected. Many of us are concerned. What are the issues at play in the community? How do we ensure that we as an LGBT+ community remain strong together, even when it comes to worrying developments that do not affect everyone in the community in the same way?
For this reason, COC is facilitating a nationwide Speak-In event on Thursday 28 November in The Hague. The Speak-In is a dialogue moment where everyone who feels involved in the LGBT+ community is invited to talk to each other about shared concerns, challenges, experiences and wishes. Speaking in person is by no means mandatory, so even if you are more comfortable with the role of a listener you are more than welcome.
The evening will be facilitated by Debbie Heleha, with guests from organisations Rainbow Den Haag, Hindustan and Queer, Pep, DWH and Pride den Haag. Themes such as; safety, allyship, solidarity and intergenerational relations will be discussed. We will be inspired by performances by spoken word artist Hasan Gök and singer Stiggy. Let's talk about it! We look forward to seeing you on 28 November. The event and the closing drinks are entirely in Dutch and free of charge, but please register.
