  • Location: Beeld & Geluid Den Haag

Take your chance to visit this municipal monument during this interesting lecture at Beeld & Geluid in The Hague and hear more about K.P.C. de Bazel's design during the Art Nouveau Festijn in The Hague on Sunday, June 9.

This lecture will take place in the 1916 Theosophist Temple, by architect K.P.C. de Bazel. Zeestraat originally housed the Groote Koninklijke Bazar. Later the Nederlandsch Postmuseum moved into the building. In 1991, the adjacent building of the Theosophical Society was added to the museum and connected internally.

The architect applied a modern concrete skeleton and also designed the stained-glass windows, lamps and furniture. The structure of the original rooms and windows is still recognizable; the furniture has largely been replaced.

Since 2022, the museum has been part of Sound & Vision. Also visit Art Nouveau from 't depeau (depot) on June 8, 9 and 10. With a small presentation of Art Nouveau objects from the collection of Beeld & Geluid.
