Open Call 3D mural “Maintaining our Shared Future” 🌍

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Municipality of The Hague invite young, ambitious artists to design a mural. This competition is on the occasion of the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague. The winning design will be placed on a large wall in The Hague (yet to be determined).

3D design

The competition is for everyone from 18 to 35 years old from 1 of the 32 NATO countries. This year's theme is: "Maintaining our Shared Future". Participants can submit a design with a 3D optical illusion for a horizontal wall. Submit your design here. Deadline is March 31, 2025.

Jury

The jury, including 2 The Hague jurors (Michiel Corver, director of The Hague Street Art and a resident from The Hague), will announce the winning design together with NATO. The winning artwork will be unveiled in June 2025 on a wall in The Hague (yet to be determined).

The first mural of this competition, entitled "Life Under a Peaceful Sky", was designed by the young Lithuanian artist Žygimantas Amelinas and can be found on a wall next to Reformati Square in Vilnius.

The second mural, titled “Security Through Cooperation,” was designed by the young Danish artist Eske Touborg and painted by D.C. Mural artist Hamilton Glass. It is now on display in downtown Washington, D.C., close to the Walter E. Washington Conference Center.
