Art Exhibition Veilig Samen Leven
- Date:
- Location: Grote Kerk

From February 12 to February 15, 2025, the Grote Kerk in The Hague will be open for 'Veilig Samen Leven.' The traveling art exhibition is an unique exhibition about safety that highlights the perspectives of disadvantaged groups: a must-see for everyone.
An interactive art experience
'Veilig Samen Leven' is much more than an exhibition – it's an interactive art experience. Through art, interactive installations and personal stories of eleven makers from the Netherlands, visitors are given the opportunity to think about their own role in creating a safe society. Visitors can participate in guided tours and workshops and listen to keynotes, debates and performances that will encourage change.
Visitors are taken on an interactive journey through art installations that confront, inspire and encourage reflection. Each work of art highlights urgent social issues and shows in what way safety is experienced and influenced in different ways.
Peripheral program
In addition to the exhibition, ‘Veilig Samen Leven’ offers an extensive side program with lectures, workshops and panel discussions. Here you will meet the makers and experts and receive practical insights on how you can contribute to a safe society.
Featuring

Heeft u nog laatste woorden?
(!!Please note!!! Only on display tonight:
February 12 from 7:00 PM - 7:05 PM in The Hague)
With a live performance of the song 'Do you have any last words?', Di Angelo Dos Santos Soares invites the audience to critically reflect on the inexorability of protocols and procedures.
In this confrontational installation, Di Angelo takes you into a world where the system determines whether you are heard. The work consists of a powerful music track that is supported by compelling images: personal documents, photos from his past and moments when bureaucratic procedures determined his life. His message is raw and direct: what happens when your last words don't matter?
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to not only hear his story, but feel it as well. The combination of music and visual storytelling makes ‘Heeft u nog laatste woorden?’ an experience that will not let you go.
Why you should see this
• A unique look into the system through the eyes of someone who was trapped within it
• Music as indictment: experience the power of art as a voice for justice
• A confrontational reflection on how we deal with rules and human dignity
(!!Please note!!! Only on display tonight:
