Through the Hague Lens: The Hague's film competition

With the competition 'Through the Hague Lens' we challenge you to pick up the camera and show your creativity. During the NATO summit, our city is in the spotlight worldwide.
Make a short film or animation that offers hope for world peace and shows The Hague as a city of peace and justice.
Whether you work alone or with friends, with a professional camera or with your phone; everyone can participate!

Creative view of The Hague
Filmmaker Joosje Duk and presenter Nora Akachar – well-known residents of The Hague who support the project – encourage all residents to tell their unique story and make their voices heard. Let your unique view of The Hague come to life! Whether you tell a gripping story, use powerful images or use Hague humor; this is your chance to be creative.
The best entries will be shown on the big screen during the exclusive premiere evening in the Flora Filmtheater on June 10th. And of course there are great prizes to be won!
For young and old
Everyone from The Hague with a passion for film, storytelling or creativity. Whether you are a pupil, student, amateur or professional filmmaker; all ages and levels are welcome!
How does it work?
- Use a camera or phone that allows you to film in Full HD.
- Tell an inspiring story that offers hope for world peace and use your creativity with animation, storytelling or humor.
- Make The Hague recognisable in images.
- Make sure your film is no longer than 3 minutes.
- Submit your entry before June 1st.
- Mark June 10th in your agenda for the exclusive premiere evening
