Nieuwspoort
The International Press Center Nieuwspoort is the meeting place for politicians, journalists, and representatives of businesses and social organizations.
Since its establishment in 1962, Nieuwspoort has been closely intertwined with the Dutch House of Representatives. The press and debate center stands firmly for the protection of free speech.
Politicians, journalists, and lobbyists can meet and exchange ideas without interference. Within the society, the so-called Nieuwspoort Code applies: what is discussed and observed can be used in newspapers or for radio and television, but the source remains anonymous, as does the location where the news originated. Naturally, no visual recordings may be made.
