The exciting and emotional story of a group of Falun Gong members who briefly took over Chinese state television. A story of unprecedented courage and life under totalitarian rule. Animation and documentary ingeniously combined, with breathtaking results. History has taught the Chinese a lesson,' we hear at the start of Eternal Spring. Whoever dares to stand up against the Party, will suffer.' Yet standing up to the Chinese Communist Party is exactly what a group of members of the banned spiritual movement Falun Gong did.

On 5 March 2002, they broke into a broadcast of Chinese state television and showed a video about the movement. Their story was made into an animation by cartoonist Daxiong, himself a Falun Gong practitioner. His breathtaking and chilling animated scenes are interspersed with interviews with many of the main characters - that is, those who survived and managed to flee China. Besides the thrilling stories about people like 'Mr White', the fearless and passionate 'Big Truck' and mastermind Liang - a master of secret guerrilla information campaigns - Daxiong ponders his own choices and dilemmas, and confronts his pain .
