Rule of Law Open House

  • Date: 08 June 10:00 - 16:00
  • Location: Den Haag

Part of the Week of the Rule of Law is the Rule of Law Tour.

On Saturday, June 8, eight organizations in The Hague and elsewhere in the country will hold open houses during this Rondje Rechtsstaat!

The Senate and House of Representatives of the States General, the Cabinet of the King, the Council of State, the Supreme Court, the Council for the Judiciary, national lawyer Pels Rijcken and the Personal Data Authority have joined forces and will open their doors between 10:00 and 16:00 to provide information about their role in our democratic constitutional state.

During the Rule of Law Tour, everyone can visit, free of charge and without registration, the buildings of all these eight organizations that shape the rule of law, meet the people who work there and get information on questions such as: how does a judge arrive at his judgment? What role do the various institutions play? There are guided tours, you can talk to the relevant employees, there are reenacted court cases in various cities around the country, you can hear how a law is created, take a photo in a toga or visit the Gothic Hall of the Council of State. There are numerous other activities for young and old alike.

Rondje Rechtsstaat is being organized on the same day as Construction Day and Architecture Day. So there is even more to see that day....

Stop by on Saturday, June 8, and bring your family and friends!
