The Hague breathes peace and justice. Our ambition is to build on this foundation with the aim of giving peace & justice an important place in the hearts and actions of our residents, entrepreneurs and organizations. Due to recent developments around COVID-19, the Just Peace Festival and The Hague International Open Day has a different interpretation.

In September and October 2020, various activities will take place in and around The Hague as part of the Just Peace week (on the occasion of the International Day of Peace) and the celebration of 75 years of the UN. Many of these activities are virtual. Part of it takes place in the city itself. This is an excellent opportunity to show how The Hague is working on peace and justice among both national and international target groups. But also to connect residents of Hagen themselves to concrete activities and stories of The Hague as a city of V&R. Not separately, from a specific program or project. But by bundling the activities and stories in an overarching campaign, working together in communication and promoting them.

We do this under the banner of Just Peace Month and under the banner of The Hague as the international city of Peace and Justice.
