Saturday 17 October 2020 10:00 until 16:00
Organised by Eurojust

Join us for the Virtual Eurojust open day event on 17th of October!

On Saturday, 17th of October don’t miss the unique opportunity to learn fascinating facts about Eurojust and what we do to keep Europe safe!

Throughout the day, we will have a number of sessions in which you will:

Take a virtual tour of Eurojust building

Eurojust is a centre of expertise in cross-border judicial cooperation. The conference centre of Eurojust holds regular meetings between experts in various forms of organised crime, and develops best practice.

From the comfort of your home:

explore the Conference Centre of Eurojust, learn what is our mission, who are our partners, what types of crimes we solve and why Eurojust is the only agency of its kind not only at the European Union level but worldwide!

Meet a prosecutor

Prosecutors and investigative judges tackling serious cross-border crime need to efficiently exchange information and solve a range of practical issues that regularly arise when using EU judicial cooperation tools. Each case is different and requires an individual approach. Throughout the different stages of the cross-border criminal investigation, Eurojust offers tailor-made operational support.

During the live session with Eurojust Prosecutor you will learn:

  • What kind of support Eurojust provides to the EU and non-EU member states during the investigation?
  • What kind of judicial cooperation tools are used?
  • What results we achieve in #JusticeDone?

These and many other exciting questions will be answered during this session!

Lead an action day!

The Eurojust coordination centre is a judicial cooperation tool developed in 2011 to coordinate simultaneous operations between the judicial and law enforcement forces.

During the simulation of the Coordination Centre (in a game format) you will be asked to lead an operation and apply the judicial cooperation tools in order to arrest the suspects. Your cooperation with a non-EU member state in this criminal investigation will be essential and your decision-making skills will determine the success of the case.
