A TV programme will be broadcast from the Peace Palace celebrating the UN’s founding 75 years ago this year. It will feature performances by many Dutch artists and official speeches and will look at the history of the UN and the stories of people with first-hand experience of the institution and its values.

On the evening of Friday, 23 October, NPO 1 in collaboration with the National Committee for 4 and 5 May will present the special broadcast. The programme will air at 8.25 pm straight after the news. UN Secretary-General António Guterres will take part from New York and Minister of Foreign Affairs Stef Blok will be one of the guests. There will of course be other prominent speakers as well as music by Jeangu Macrooy, Giovanca, Douwe Bob and Maan.
